The Extended Education Program

The Extended Education Program (this includes Evening and Saturday Schools) provides all TUHSD students the opportunity to take courses beyond the school day to further their course of study and/or recover credits.
Delivers the tools and support needed to ensure student achievement through:
- Self-paced online courses
- Certified instructors present to give technical assistance
- On-site counselors to insure that the student is enrolled in the correct course of study, offer guidance, and to communicate to families
- Condensed Schedule
Classes meet at Compadre High School, 500 West Guadalupe Road, Tempe, AZ 85283
*These courses cannot be taken for NCAA eligibility.
To register, registration forms are available in the Guidance Department of the student’s home school. A counselor’s signature is required on the registration form to ensure the student is enrolling in the appropriate class for credits needed to meet graduation requirements.
Return the completed registration form, including the counselor’s signature and tuition payment to any TUHSD bookstore.
Tuition is $175.00 per class for one-half credit and must be paid at the time of registration.
In person: You may pay by credit/debit, check or cash at any TUHSD school bookstore. Make checks payable to: TUHSD Extended Education Program. After payment, please bring registration form and bookstore receipt to to your first night of Extended Education class and turn into the coordinator.
Financial Aid: Should you not be able to participate in the program due to financial constraints, please speak to a school administrator at your school regarding financial assistance that may be offered through various programs. Should your tuition be paid by school funds, please submit a copy of the appropriate, completed forms with your registration.
Refunds: NO REFUNDS AFTER - August 26, 2016. Please note there is a non-refundable administrative fee of $30.00.
Requests for refunds for courses must be made within the first ten (10) days following registration. Refunds are only made to the individual making the original payment. Requests must be accompanied with an original receipt. Refund checks are mailed within four to six (4 to 6) weeks of receipt of the request in the District Business Office. All refunds requests must be made to the TUHSD District Office. Therefore, the maximum refund for a class will be $145.00.
Class Size and Course Offerings
Extended Education classes are limited to 25 students per class. Early registration is recommended.
Extended Education Program operates on the same calendar as that of the student’s home school.
Classes are open to all TUHSD students.
Class time on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 4:30 PM - 8:21 PM.
Saturday morning class time is from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (noon).
