I was born and raised in St. Charles, Illinois, and moved to Arizona in 1985. I attended and graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Elementary Education and received my Master of Education in Administration and Supervision. I then received my Principal Certificate from the Arizona Department of Education in 2002.
I started my career teaching Math in the Kyrene School District and I then joined Tempe Union High School District as an Assistant Principal of Activities at Tempe High School in 2002, serving for three years in the Activities office and one year as Registrar/Assistant Principal before coming to Desert Vista in 2006.
My husband and I have been married since 1987, have lived and raised our two daughters and one son in Ahwatukee. I am proud to say that all three of my children are graduates of Desert Vista High School. I feel very fortunate to a part of the staff at such an exceptional institution and to serve the families of the community in which I love and live.
