One measure of an effective school is the support the community and the parents lend to the school. Compadre is very fortunate in this regard due to the fact that we are expanding our clubs and co-curricular programs to coincide with our newly renovated campus. We need volunteers to provide support in different ways in order to enhance our students' success.
Volunteers will help to set a positive tone through their support of students and faculty. Research shows that open communication between parents and teachers benefits children in a number of ways. Level of academic achievement, attendance, attitudes about school, self-esteem, and behavior all improve when parents become involved in a child's schooling. Even more important, the schools themselves are more effective when they can count on the efforts of parents.
