Working in conjunction with our district and other entities, Mountain Pointe offers a fair number of alternative programs off our campus, allowing students additional flexibility in course selections and credit-earning possibilities. Students behind in credits, looking to get ahead, or just hoping to engage in programs not offered at Mountain Pointe will find broader options by investigating our alternative programs.
For students who have fallen behind in credits, Evening School is a nice option to pursue in order to remediate classes, accelerate the earning of required credits, and remain on track for graduation. Classes are held at Compadre High School (Guadalupe and Kyrene), one night per week. Many courses are self-paced, so those students who really apply themselves have the opportunity to earn needed credits in an efficient manner. As an optional program, registration and course fees apply. Visit your counselor for more information.
Similarly, students may make up courses and accelerate the earning of credits required for high school graduation by attending Saturday School. Classes of about four hours are offered each Saturday morning or afternoon at Marcos de Niza High School (Guadalupe and Lakeshore). Fees apply. See your counselor with questions or to register.
