Mr. Walther moved to Arizona from Syracuse, New York after graduating from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor's Degree in Adolescent Education and History. While at Cortland, he was a three-sport athlete competing in the Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field teams.

He began his career teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Social Studies at Casa Grande Middle School in Casa Grande and then transitioned to Vista Grande High School, where he was an Economics teacher, then an Academic Interventionist and, as of late, an Assistant Principal of Student Services. During his teaching years, he was the Senior Class Sponsor and was an Assistant Coach for Cross Country, Basketball, and Track and Field.

Mr. Walther graduated from Arizona State University with his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, focusing on improving student attendance.
