Distance and Online Learning

  • Tempe Union High School District brings a higher standard of distance learning education to students and families. The basic core program in grades 9-12 has high-quality, interactive online semester courses taught by certified teachers.


    Our distance learning program provides multimedia-rich curriculum aligning to state and national standards, as well as numerous online tools for both parents and students.


    The Tempe Union High School District offers online courses that can be taken by any high school student, anywhere, at any time from a computer with high-speed Internet access.

Extended Education Program

    Courses are offered 7th and 8th hours

    Space is limited. Placement will be determined by the approproaite grade-level counselor. 


    Courses available through CRC:

    • English 9, 10, 11, 12 (No Honors)
    • Government
    • Economics
    • World History/Geography
    • American/Arizona History
    • Algebra 1-2

Saturday School

  • The Extended Education Program, including Evening and Saturday Schools, provides all Tempe Union High School District students the opportunity to take courses beyond the school day to further their course of study and/or recover credits. Delivers the tools and support needed to ensure student achievement through:

    • Self-paced online courses
    • Certified instructors present to give technical assistance
    • On-site counselors to ensure that the student is enrolled in the correct course of study, offer guidance, and to communicate to families
    • Condensed Schedule


    Classes meet at Compadre High School, 500 West Guadalupe Road, Tempe, AZ 85283

    *These courses cannot be taken for NCAA eligibility.
