Gifted Services

  • The goal of the Gifted Program at Marcos de Niza High School is to offer individual services to the gifted student wishing to remain at the home campus. We believe that the gifted students benefit from participation in the many diverse programs and activities offered at Marcos de Niza High School, a traditional 5A high school.

At Marcos de Niza, individual learning plans direct the gifted student's four-year course selections, which may include honors classes, Advanced Placement (AP) courses, the Advanced Studies honors elective, dual enrollment with Rio Salado Community College, Tempe Union Online Learning (TUOL), and all general curriculum offerings. The Gifted and Talented (GAT) club serves as a social group, offering community service projects, field trips, college and career resources, and leadership opportunities. Gifted services also extend to the staff and to parents, with information available on the Marcos de Niza Gifted Services, in the school newsletter and in correspondence.

Marcos de Niza's Gifted Services include:

    • Advanced Studies
    • Mentoring
    • Dual Credit
