Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • Start the FAFSA. Plan for your future.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used by the government and many schools to help determine students' eligibility for financial assistance, such as federal student loans, scholarships, and grants. “Completing the FAFSA is a critical step in the college financing process” (Education Forward Arizona).

The FAFSA is available each year for seniors on December 1. You will use your 2023 tax information to complete the FAFSA to be considered for financial assistance in 2025. The sooner your FAFSA is done, the sooner you can get the full picture of financial aid from colleges, and plan for your future.
