Pride's Peak Gifted and Talented Academy
More details regarding Pride's Peak Gifted and Talented Academy are forthcoming for the 2022-23 school year. If you have any questions, please contact Gifted Coordinator Mary Catherine Boatwright or Gifted Counselor Anne Jauregui.
Pride's Peak Gifted and Talented Academy is a family-based, student-centered program focusing on the academic, intellectual, social, career, and cultural development of each student. We use the "Whole Person Process" to aid in identifying student strengths and weaknesses, to help our students better develop themselves in a broad range of areas in preparation for college and their areas of greatest interest, and help them build on this. Using curricular and co-curricular as well as enrichment options, we tailor our services to each student's needs.
Key components of the Pride's Peak program include organizing student schedules to assure maximum challenge and success; continual monitoring of student achievement in and out of the classroom; opportunities to become engaged in specialized educational programs, gifted projects, career shadowing, academic competitions, and cultural development activities; and family and student newsletters and workshops covering academic, college, career, and social development issues.
Mountain Pointe's Gifted Services include:
- Honors Courses
- Dual Credit
- Advanced Placement (AP) courses
- Advanced Studies/Professional Internship Program
- College Visits
