Opened in 1991, Mountain Pointe High School’s vision of “Establishing Purpose, Instilling Pride, Empowering Performance” serves as a guide for our award-winning students and staff.
We have a rich tradition of excellence in all areas of the high school experience including academics, athletics, and co-curricular activities, leading MP to be the first TUHSD school to be named an A+ School of Excellence in 2010. Our distinguished arts programming received the Phoenix Mayor’s School of Excellence Award for Outstanding Arts Education in 2010 as well.
We strive to present a rigorous and relevant curriculum that prepares our students to be successful in both the classroom and future endeavors.
Beautiful, modern, and functional schools are our hallmark. Our comprehensive high schools, set on 50- to 75-acre campuses, include Corona del Sol High School, Desert Vista High School, Marcos de Niza High School, McClintock High School, Mountain Pointe High School, and Tempe High School. Compadre High School is the District’s non-traditional high school. Peggy Payne Academy serves gifted students and is located on the McClintock campus. The International Baccalaureate (applicant program) is located on the Tempe High School Campus.
