At Tempe High School, our mission is that “Everyone learns every day.” The staff works diligently to produce well-rounded young adults that excel academically, become active citizens in our community, and develop a sense of appreciation for our diverse world. For over 100 years, Tempe High has produced local, state, and national leaders that have dedicated their lives to various causes that benefit our communities.

Tempe High offers unique academic programs, such as TUHSD’s International Baccalaureate Programme, AVID, JAG, and the HOPE Medical Academy.

We strongly encourage students to participate in arts and athletic programs as well, helping to create a vibrant culture on campus.

Beautiful, modern, and functional schools are our hallmark. Our comprehensive high schools, set on 50- to 75-acre campuses, include Corona del Sol High School, Desert Vista High School, Marcos de Niza High School, McClintock High School, Mountain Pointe High School, and Tempe High School. Compadre High School is the District’s non-traditional high school. Peggy Payne Academy serves gifted students and is located on the McClintock campus. The International Baccalaureate (applicant program) is located on the Tempe High School Campus.
