ACT

Since the Spring of 2022, high school students have been taking the ACT, provided in partnership with NCS Pearson. The ACT replaced the AzM2, formerly known as AzMERIT.

The ACT provides high-quality, nationally recognized college entrance exams for all high school students at no cost to the students or the schools, while measuring students’ college and career readiness. The ACT covers four academic skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and scientific reasoning, as well as a writing component. The ACT test will be administered to all students in high school in 9th grade (ACT Aspire) and 11th grade (ACT) annually.
