Title 1
What is Title 1
Title 1, under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), formerly known as No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), provides financial assistance to schools to meet the needs of educationally disadvantaged children. The purpose of Title 1 is to provide extra instructional services and activities to help support identified students in achieving academic standards and meet school goals. Through Title 1, supplemental classes and services are offered, as well as increased involvement opportunities for parents. http://www.azed.gov/title-i/.
If your student is enrolled in a Math Lab or Reading Strategies class, they are receiving Title 1 services.
