Registration Process

Two steps required: course selection and fee payment.

Step 1: Course Selection

Choose one of the SEA programs. Your school counselor will place you in the appropriate SEA course once payment is confirmed.

  • Credit Recovery
  • Credit Advancement
  • In-Person DV Math Advancement Camp (link to website)

Step 2: Fee Payment

FYI: EVIT students, incoming 9th grade students, or new TUHSD students must pay at the bookstore. See the SEA Course Types & Fees section for details.

Course Formats

Credit Recovery — Hybrid / Synchronous

Schedule: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM   |   Final Exam: In-person at Marcos de Niza

Designed for students who have previously failed the course.

Daily Structure
  • 8:30 AM — Virtual attendance (camera on)
  • 8:45 AM — Whole-group unit lesson
  • 9:45 AM — Unit pre-test
  • 10:15 AM — Break
  • 10:30 AM — Small group instruction until 12:30 PM

Hybrid courses blend live lessons and independent work for real-time engagement and flexibility.

Credit Advancement — Asynchronous Online

Access: 24/7 course access with teacher support   |   Recommended time: 4–6 hours per day   |   Final Exam: In-person at Marcos de Niza

  • Flexible, self-paced structure
  • Pre-recorded lessons and discussion boards
  • Ideal for independent learners
     

Refund Policy

Refund Deadline: June 3, 2026

Submit the Refund Request Form to TUHSDSEA@TempeUnion.org. A $30 processing fee applies. Course changes are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
 

Registration Dates

  • Regular Registration: March 2 – May 1, 2026
  • Late Registration (Session 2 / Credit Recovery only): May 25 – June 3, 2026

Confirmation will be sent by email after registration.
 

Attendance Policy

Credit Recovery

Since Summer School hours are limited, daily attendance is extremely important.

  • A minimum of ten (10) days per session is required to earn credit.
  • Tardiness or early departures in excess of 15 minutes will constitute one (1) absence.
  • Students will be dropped after the second (2) absence. There are no refunds after June 3, 2026, due to the compacted schedule and required instructional hours.

Online Credit Advancement

  • Online students must start their course within the first two (2) days of the session or they will be dropped from the course (no refunds after June 3, 2026).
  • If a student starts a course but does not complete it by the end of the session, a grade of “F” will be assigned on the student transcript.
  • Students wishing to withdraw must have a parent or guardian withdraw them by June 10, 2026 (Session 1) or June 25, 2026 (Session 2).

All final exams are administered in-person on the dates listed below.
