Dr. Patricia Goolsby

Dr. Goolsby returns to the Tempe Union High School District as the new principal of Tempe High. She brings over twelve years of administrative experience to our campus having spent the past five years in the Mesa district serving as the principal of East Valley Academy and Crossroads Success Schools and as Westwood’s Assistant Principal for Academic Support. Previous to that, she enjoyed seven years at Mountain Pointe as the Assistant Principal for Activities. Prior to administration, Dr. Goolsby spent 25 years in the classroom teaching dance in several high schools and colleges. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and Master of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from Arizona State University and completed her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University in 2015.

Dr. Goolsby and her husband are long-time residents of Tempe and she is the proud mom of two sons who are graduates from the Tempe Union High School District.
