Native American Education

  • The Native American Education Program of Tempe Union High School District (TUHSD) would like to invite you to become a part of our program. Native American Education is prepared to provide you with academic support and services during the duration of your education journey within TUHSD.

Welcome Students and Parents!

  • For your information, the Native American Education Program is for all American Indian students with or without a census number. We provide academic support services which include: free tutoring (most campuses), information for the transition to Higher Education, most *academic course fees are paid, and an end of year Student Recognition Program to name a few. In addition, Native American Education is excited to be able to provide you with a program specialist helping to assist you in achieving your academic goals.

To begin receiving services, we ask that you fill out the following forms in order to receive Title VI or Johnson- O’Malley services. TUHSD is not unified with the Elementary school districts so it is necessary that you take a moment to register for these programs and return the registration form before the start of the school year.

The Indian Education Staff (IES) wishes you a successful academic year and would like to assure you that IES is here to assist you in making high school a rewarding experience. If you have any questions, please contact us at (480) 838-3200 ext.40068.
