In support of Desert Vista's vision of Excellence Through Performance, we continually examine our curriculum, monitor student progress through the use of formative assessments, and strive to collaborate with one another to improve instruction to meet the differentiated needs of our students. Building relationships with our students and families is important to us here at Desert Vista. Throughout the year we hold a variety of informational events for our families and community members.

Academic Lab
In support of student achievement, we have an Academic Lab two days a week. The purpose of this lab is to provide students with the opportunity for academic assistance within the school day. During this 35 min lab time, the staff focuses their efforts and attention in support of student achievement. We also provide a free Peer to Peer Tutoring program that students can access before and after school. More information about this program can be found on the link to the left.

College and Career Ready
You will find that Desert Vista provides a wide array of curricular opportunities on campus. Through educationally rich opportunities, our students become college and career ready. We offer a variety of academic options for all grade levels. These include Advanced Placement (AP) courses, honors courses, vocational courses (EVIT), and dual enrollment courses through the Maricopa County Community Colleges and the University of Arizona.

Our attendance policies and code of conduct (in accordance with policies of Tempe Union High School District) ensure a safe learning environment.

Please take a moment each week to look at your student's grades online. You can access online grades from the school website. This valuable tool will assist you in tracking how your student is making progress.
