Important Announcements - COVID-19

  • Tempe Union High School District's schools are closed to students beginning March 16, 2020 through the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

This adheres to the announcement made on March 30 by Governor Ducey and State Superintendent Hoffman. All school activities (including SAT testing), athletics (practices, competitions, physicals), and events will be cancelled until further notice.

At this time, we are monitoring the closure of our schools on a daily basis in conjunction with the appropriate state agencies to make the best determination for when school might resume. We urge our students and families to take this opportunity to practice social distancing, and other containment measures that are being advised by our public health agencies. We want to ensure that these school closures and the disruption of the learning process proves to be worth the effort.

Online Learning begins March 30 for TUHSD students

Tempe Union High School District teachers will be offering Online Learning through Schoology beginning Monday, March 30 at 9:00am. Teachers will post updates or announcements, as well as assignments in Schoology regularly. Students are asked to check their Schoology and TUHSD Gmail accounts on a daily basis. For more information, parents can refer to the email that was sent home on March 24, 2020 from Kim Hilgers, Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning.
