Career & Technical Education

Real Skills. Real Experiences. Real Opportunities.

Tempe Union’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs give students hands-on, real-world learning experiences that prepare them for college, careers, and life after high school. Through industry-connected programs, students build technical skills, earn certifications, explore career interests, and gain meaningful experiences that help them take the next step toward their future.

In TUHSD, CTE is more than a class; students learn by doing. From engineering projects and internships to culinary events, media production, construction, healthcare, and business leadership, students engage in authentic experiences that connect learning to the real world.

Students who complete CTE programs may earn industry-recognized certifications and college credit opportunities at no additional cost to families. Many pathways also provide opportunities for internships, workplace experiences, industry mentorships, and direct interaction with professionals in the field.

Why Choose CTE in Tempe Union?

  • Hands-On Learning: Students learn through labs, projects, performances, competitions, internships, and community-based experiences that bring learning to life.
