Tempe Union Online

TUO  is a program within the Tempe Union High School District that offers:

• Full-Time Online Enrollment Students engage in online learning as their primary instructional model.
  • TUO attendance is recorded daily based on student logins and activity completion in the online learning platform.
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 4 online classes.
  • May choose to take 1–2 in-person classes at their home campus.
  • Enrollment Process - contact your school counselor or TUO for more information.
• Concurrent (Part-Time) Enrollment Students take 1–2 online courses to supplement their traditional, on-campus schedule.
  • Students may enroll in a total of up to 7 classes between their TUHSD campus and TUO.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 4 in-person classes at their home campus.

• Site-Based Credit Recovery Students can recover credit for previously failed courses and demonstrate course mastery.
  • Students are assigned to a Credit Recovery (CR) Lab on their home campus for support and mentoring.
  • Credit Recovery courses are not NCAA-approved.
  • See your school counselor to enroll in a CR course.
• Students that are currently open-enrolled at a TUHSD school campus and choose to attend Tempe Union Online, will LOSE their spot at the open-enrollment school. The student will need to apply for Open Enrollment again when deciding to withdraw from Tempe Union Online. Please reference our Open Enrollment web page for more information.
