Title I
Title I is a federally funded program under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) that provides additional support to help students succeed in school. It is designed to give eligible students extra help in key academic areas, such as reading and math, so they can build skills, stay on track, and meet grade-level expectations.
Through Title I, your student may receive additional instruction during the school day, such as Math Lab or Reading Strategies classes, where teachers provide more personalized support in a smaller or more focused setting.
Title I also supports families by offering opportunities to stay involved in their child’s education. This may include school events, resources to support learning at home, and ongoing communication about your student’s progress.
If your student is enrolled in a Math Lab or Reading Strategies class, they are currently receiving Title I services.
