  • SEA Registration is now closed at all home schools.

    Late registration will be held on Monday, 5/20/19 and Tuesday, 5/21/19 at Mountain Pointe from 5 – 8 PM.

     Session 2 registration will continue at the late registration dates above and at Mountain Pointe starting 5/28/19.

    What is Summer Education Academy?

    Tempe Union High School District’s Summer Education Academy, aimed at helping students in the District recover and/or gain credits toward graduation while engaging students during the summer months and preparing them for academic excellence during the traditional school year.

    Tempe Union Online Learning, TUOL courses now available!

    Tempe Union is now pleased to offer online learning opportunities to provide flexibility for personalized student success. Students will work with their Tempe Union teacher to complete coursework in a virtual environment powered by Edgenuity. Final exams will be administered at Compadre Academy in a proctored environment. Coursework is accessed through Canvas. A link to Canvas can be found on the Tempe Union website Student page.

    The Summer Education Academy is open to any incoming ninth grade (freshman) through 12th grade (senior) student. Students may take one class per Summer Education Academy session and earn 1/2 credit for the class. In general, courses offered during Session I are equivalent to the first semester of the school year, and courses offered in Session II are equivalent to the second semester of the regular school year.

    Additional Information

    • Incoming Freshmen are only eligible to sign up for:
      Algebra 1-2, Art & Design, Chem-Physics Foundations, Computer Applications, Freshman English, Geometry, Physical Education 1-2, Spanish 1-2.
    • $175 per session (1/2 credit per course)
    • A $30.00 fee will be assessed to all refunds.
    • Snacks are available for purchase before school and during all breaks.
    • A student may only be absent TWO days per session. There are NO excused absences in the Summer Education Academy.
    • Final exams will NOT be administered early by any teacher.

    Community Service Hours for Health Classes:
    Students enrolled in Summer Education Academy Health Courses may use hours of service volunteered beginning August 10, 2018, and (10) hours are required. All hours are due no later than midnight on the final day of your enrolled session. Documentation from the supervisor of the community service should include dates and times of service and the supervisor's signature.

     

    Heath (Canvas Online) has a start date of May 28, 2019, for Session 1 and June 13, 2019, for Session 2.

    Payments: Checks should be made out to Tempe Union High School District. Payments can NOT be made online, by phone or on our payment portal.
    Payments are ONLY accepted at our bookstores.

    Transportation Information:

    Transportation is available from ALL TUHSD SCHOOLS to SEA for $35 per session.


    Free/Reduced Lunch Tuition:
    Tuition reduction may be available for current Tempe Union High School District students with approved Student Assistance from the homeschool.
    Final Exams:
    No student will be released early for final exams.

Student Drop Off & Pick Up

  • Students must be picked up and dropped off in the FRONT parking lot off Knox road ONLY. There is no student pick up/drop off permitted in the back parking lot (44th street parking lot.) The back lot off 44th street is a bus and staff only parking lot. Due to state safety regulations, no student may be picked up or dropped off in this parking lot.
