SAT/ACT College Exams

College
The new SAT – The SAT has been redesigned!  Now that the SAT has been phased out and replaced by a newer model, students have a different choice to make when they're deciding between the SAT and ACT. The tests are much more similar in structure and timing.  Here are some tips for students.  We recommend all juniors to take the SAT as it one of the core admission exams for college.  Scoring has changed as well.  There are only two sections on the new SAT (Math and Evidence Based Reading/Writing) and each section is worth up to 800 points.  Therefore, scores range from 400-1600.  Many students this year are hedging their bets and taking both the SAT and the ACT.

·        Please register at www.collegeboard.com. Starting in 2017, the College Board will start offering the SAT in August, and will phase out the January test in 2018.
