ADL honors Desert Vista as a "No Place For Hate" school campus
Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has designated 39 Arizona schools as No Place For Hate®. Desert Vista High School, along with 38 other schools from 18 school districts across Arizona, are being recognized for creating safe learning environments and addressing issues of bullying and bias.
ADL’s No Place for Hate® initiative is a school climate improvement framework for K-12 schools and their communities. The program guides schools through completing campus-wide activities that promote ally behaviors and reduce bullying and bias.
This year, the initiative reached more than 63,000 students across 50 Arizona schools. There are more than 1,800 schools participating in the program nationwide.
ADL is a leading anti-hate organization. Founded in 1913 in response to an escalating climate of anti-Semitism and bigotry, its timeless mission is to protect the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all. More at www.arizona.adl.org.
