All General Student Council members we will be meeting in L-108, Ms. Bailey's room today Thursday February 9th. Again, we will be meeting at lunch in L-108 not the lecture hall!
Attention Seniors, February 24th we will be taking the senior panoramic picture at the football stadium during ASC. Please wear your Buffalo spirit gear or just blue and white. You will not be allowed to have handmade shirts and dress code will be enforced.

All Students-The HOPE Key Club Blood Drive is Thursday February 16, from 8:00am until 1:00pm in the gym annex.  All blood drive forms need to be returned to Mrs. Stone in F-103 by Monday February 13. If you do not have a form see Mrs. Stone.  Once the forms are turned in students may register on-line.  All donors need to start eating foods high in iron, drinking water and bring their ID on donation day.  
HOPE Students:  The next HOPE Club meeting is Tuesday 2-14.  We will be having our Valentine Party.  Freshman bring cookies, Sophomores bring drinks, Juniors bring chips and seniors bring cupcakes.
Seniors, if you have a 3.0 (weighted or unweighted) GPA, please consider attending one of the Honors Information Nights hosted by Mesa Community College and Tempe Union High School District.  You will learn about the Presidents' Honors Scholarship which will award you full tuition for 4 semesters and many other benefits!!!! Don't miss out and bring your parents! The first will be at McClintock, this Thursday, February 2nd in the Auditorium from 6-7:30 p.m . The second will be next Thursday, February 9 at Mt. Pointe High School at 6 p.m.

SENIORS: If you need or want to the take the Maricopa Community College Placement test, our Mesa Community College Representative will be here all day to test Seniors on Feb 27th. Go see Ms. Kayla in the Guidance office to sign up.

Wednesday will be Be a Hero day. Please dress in Superhero gear. Come out to the quad during lunch to see what your StuCo crew has in store!
Thursday will be Tye Dye Day. Please come decked out in your Tye Dye gear! Come see your StuCo reps in the quad Thursday!
Friday is Spirit Day. Please come decked out in your THS Spirit gear!

Hey, Buffs! Have you ever been interested in the study of criminology or law? Looking to gain leadership skills? If so, Teen Court might be for you! These are real court cases where real crimes are committed and real consequences are given. You can be a member of the jury, a lawyer, or even a jury foreperson. The consequences you assign are legally required for the defendant to complete. You have a direct impact on improving the community around you! See Ms. Laurence in room D110 for more information. We will be meeting Thursday this week at 3:15 in D110.
Sophomore & Junior students do you have good attendance and interested in touring EVIT on February 21st?? If so, Please come to guidance to pick up a permission slip. Completed permission slips are due to Mr. Hernandez by February 17th.

There is a summer camp being offered at South Mountain Community College this June for only $25 for those students who qualify, apply, and are accepted! Space is limited so apply early; the deadline is March 31st! Come see Ms. Marques in the counseling office or go to for the application.
Here is today's Black history fact brought to you by the Black Student Union. Feeling jazzy? Let me tell you a little about Ella Fitzgerald. She was a jazz singer often referred to as the First Lady of Song, Queen of Jazz and Lady Ella. In 1958, Ella Fitzgerald made history as the first African American woman to win two Grammy Awards-for best individual jazz performance and best female vocal performance.

The City of Phoenix Youth and Education Office is now accepting applications for the 2017 Outstanding Young Man and Young Woman of the Year awards. This  program recognizes and honors the outstanding achievements of young people and is open to any students currently enrolled in high school and living within Phoenix city limits.                         Eligible students can apply through the online application form on the Tempe Union scholarship page before 5:00 p.m. Feb. 12, 2017. Please see Ms. Marques if you need any assistance or help accessing the application.
