This course is designed to provide the fundamental techniques and operation of industry
recognized desktop publishing software. This course is for the student that possesses a
basic proficiency in the use of word processing application. Skills taught will include the
creation and placement of text and graphics, page design and layout, and more advanced
use of software tools and techniques. Students will use the Internet to access on-line
information to be used in class projects, and to download computer graphics and photos.
Students will experience applications supporting the Arizona Academic Math Standards.
Assignments are project oriented and will provide a solid foundation for future coursework.
