The students and staff of Tempe Union High School District are encouraged to join in a movement to spread kindness across all campuses. Using the hashtag #SpreadLove, participants are invited to share their acts of kindness and unity on social media.
Students on the Superintendent's Advisory Council came up with the theme days and there will be a variety of student-planned events on campus of TUHSD, ranging from creating unity chains and sending kindness-grams, to hosting a diversity assembly and lunchtime yoga.
The week is an extension of Challenge Week, which was held in October, in an effort to promote kindness, recognize we are more alike than we are different, and to seize the opportunity to create positive change.
