Dr. Stacia Wilson Announced as Next Associate Superintendent
Dr. Stacia Wilson has been appointed as Associate Superintendent for the Tempe Union High School District.
The role of Associate Superintendent is a critical role that supports the community, students, sites, district office staff, and the Superintendent. A panel comprised of teachers, principals, district office staff, and the community assisted in choosing Dr. Wilson for the job.
Dr. Wilson is regarded as a thoughtful and compassionate leader. She is a product of the Tempe Union High School District, having graduated from McClintock High School and has dedicated her career to the district. She began her career teaching at Desert Vista and currently serves as Principal of Tempe High School.
"Dr. Wilson not only understands the needs of our students, their families, and TUHSD staff, she is a vocal advocate on their behalf. Her commitment to education and to always put our students at the center of all we do will serve our district well," stated Dr. Kevin Mendivil, current Associate Superintendent and incoming Superintindent.
Dr. Wilson will begin her new role on July 1, 2018. A search to fill the role of principal of Tempe High School is currently taking place.
