SRP presents $15K check to Tempe High’s JAG Class
For the past 20 years, ¡Hablamos SRP!, Salt River Project’s Hispanic employee interest group, has hosted a salsa-making contest to raise money for local non-profits. This year, SRP selected Jobs for Arizona Graduates as the beneficiary.
JAG provides dropout prevention and school-to-career transition for high school students across the state, including at Tempe High and Compadre Academy. JAG serves more than 1,200 young people in 25 programs in Arizona schools and communities.
Over $15,000 was raised for the organization during SRP’s 2018 Salsa Showdown. This year marked a record-amount of money raised from the annual event, now in its 20th year. SRP representatives presented a check to 25 JAG Tempe High students just before the Winter Break.
The money will support current JAG programs and the Career Development Conference, impacting a total of 700 students valley-wide.
Thank you to our incredible partners SRP and JAG for your continued support of our students!
