Tempe Union High School District Seniors celebrate #CollegeSigningDay
In honor of College Signing Day, Tempe Union High School District celebrated students who have taken the next steps in pursuing higher education.
The national campaign is hosted by Better Make Room, an organization that supports teens in pursing higher education, lead by former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Students particpated in lunchtime activities across the district that celebrated those who are committing to post-secondary education, joining the military or entering the workforce.
Tempe High students wrote on flags of schools they have applied to. Schools included community colleges, universities and other programs across the state and country, including ASU, MCC, SMCC, UCLA, United State Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and more.
At lunchtime, the Navy presented one of our students with his certificates and pin, while the Army presented a student with a check showcasing his scholarship and signing bonus.
We are proud of your accomplishments, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for you!
