Arizona Cardinals recognize TUHSD football players, coach in 2019 season

These TUHSD student athletes and coach have been recognized for their excellent performance in the 2019 Arizona High School Football season by the Arizona Cardinals.

Corona del Sol quarterback Quade Swearingen was named the Arizona Cardinals High School Player of the Week for his performance in week 1.

Swearingen, a junior at CDS, helped lead the team to a victory over Mesa Mountain View during the season home opener, 41-31.

Desert Vista's Dan Hinds was the Arizona Cardinals High School Coach of the Week for his outstanding coaching performance in Week 6 of Arizona High School Football.

Hinds led his Varsity team to victory at home over Gilbert Highland High School, 42-41. This is the second year in a row and fifth overall win for Hinds by the Arizona Cardinals.

McClintock High School defensive back Bryce Tate was named the Arizona Cardinals High School Player for his performance in week 9. Tate plays defensive back and wide receiver for the Chargers.

Tate, a senior, helped lead the team to a 49-0 win over Paradise Valley, where he intercepted four passes, had five catches for 150 yards and scored two touchdowns.

All coaches and players of the week will be recognized at the Dec. 1 Cardinals game at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ.
