Tempe Union High School District honors staff with 2019 [IN]spiration Awards
Two faculty members were recognized by the Tempe Union High School District's [IN]spiration Awards during the November 6th Governing Board meeting.
The [IN]spiration Awards is designed to recognize these employees through individual recognition of who they are and of what they accomplish to transform outcomes for students.
These employees work every day to put students first, to demonstrate care and respect for their fellow TUHSD employees, to build meaningful partnerships with families and members of our community, value diversity and work to create an inclusive environment, and demonstrate integrity in their words and their actions.
Recipients are given a plaque, as well as a goodie bag of prizes donated by the local community.
Our fall 2019 award recipients are:
Alex Holste, Corona del Sol
Alex Holste, a CdS alum herself, is currently the Associate Director of Bands and the Woodwind Caption Head at Corona. She goes above and beyond in the classroom, on the stage and out in the field supporting our band program and marching band students. Thanks for all that you do, Alex.
Liz Elston, Desert Vista
Desert Vista Paraprofessional Liz Elston was given the [IN]spiration Award, an award presented by the Tempe Union High School District to employees who are innovative, supportive, hard working and inspiring to those around them. Liz, who works alongside Sherri Hoffmann with our WorkBridge students, works tireless for her students, and is an inspiration to our Desert Vista Thunder community to do our best and give our all to our students every day.
