Threadz - Teen Resource Centers
The Tempe Teen Resource Centers, known as “Threadz”, provides clothing, shoes, hygiene items, and school supplies to teenagers for school, internships, and job interviews. Threadz was created in 2009 in partnership with Communities in Schools of Tempe and Kyrene after requests from school staff and social workers. The centers are open to teenagers in Tempe Union, Tempe Elementary, and Kyrene School districts. Staffed solely by volunteers, they have a trendy boutique feel with unique design elements ranging from vintage school lockers to reclaimed wood shelving.
